Third quarter leasing activity covered 272,000 square metres, approximately ten percent higher than the second
quarter. Transactions in Poland accounted for 55 percent of Prologis leasing activity in CEE. New lease activity
covered 119,000 square metres, demonstrating the company’s strength of operations and breadth of customer
relationships in the region. As a result of the high leasing volume, Prologis now boasts a 39 percent market share in
CEE in terms of total area leased .

comprised an 18,500 square metre speculatively built facility (Building 3) and a 7,000 square metre extension which
will be adapted to the customer’s needs, becoming the market’s first cross-dock facility to support groupage handling.
Prologis also completed the construction of 24,500 square metre distribution facility (Building 7) at Prologis Park
Bratislava. This is Prologis first speculative warehouse that has been constructed in the Slovakian market since 2008.
In Hungary lease transactions covered approximately 100,000 square metres, driving the company’s available space
down to 15 percent compared to 19 percent of the Hungarian market’s overall vacancy rate .
Prologis has responded to the increasing demand in CEE by expanding its leasing department and establishing a
business development team. The new team will focus on implementing the company’s investment plans, progressing
developments, and realising new projects in core markets - Stryków, Poznań, Wrocław and Chorzów—where the
company can deliver up to 568,000 square metres of industrial real estate space.
“Despite the apparent slowing of the market in July and August, the third quarter has clearly proven customers’
demand for modern, efficient and cost-effective facilities,” says Ben Bannatyne, Managing Director at Prologis for
Central and Eastern Europe. “Recent transactions confirm that the high quality of Prologis’ portfolio, combined with
its expertise, professional approach, and best-in-class customer service, deliver tangible results.”
He added: “We will seek to build on these accomplishments through the fourth quarter, while continuing to improve
the quality and performance of our portfolio by disposing of non-strategic assets and selectively recycling capital into
acquisitions and new developments.”
With its active engagement in five countries across the region (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania)
and portfolio totalling more than 3.5 million square metres, Prologis is the primary operator of distribution facilities in
Central & Eastern Europe (as of 30 September 2012).
